I originally bought this product based on the previous reviews as I tend to get bad prickly heat while on holiday. For the first time in a years I was symptom free for the whole holiday and was able to enjoy myself without the usual annoying, painful itch. It is a lovely product to use and smells great! I will definitely be using this product for every holiday I go on from now on!

However, I have to also mention that the customer service I received from The Natural Skincare Company was outstanding. Unknown to them I was leaving on my holiday within a week, and as it turned out they felt that the sunscreen would not reach me in the allocated time that they originally started for delivery, so emailed me to say so. Every other internet based company I have ever used, have never done this and usually let the stated delivery time laps, which in this case would have been a disaster as I would not have been able to use the product on holiday. Amanda kept me updated with the status of the product continually, letting me know when the product had docked and cleared customs as it was coming from St Lucia. They even changed the post and packaging to first class free of change to ensure I got the product in time.

I never usually review products once I use them; however I have been so impressed with your service I just had to let you know! I will definitely be using your company again and thank you for all your help this time.

Highly recommend this. I react to certain types of sun light but nothing was a effective as this for protection. I had a glorious very brown tan also!!! It made my holiday in the sun very enjoyable.

Would this be a high enough protection for Dubai in November???

REPLY from Amanda: Thank you Alex for your great review! Personally I would go for a much higher SPF for Dubai. The sun is very fierce in that part of the world and these days an SPF8 is not really high enough. However, it really does depend upon your skin type, how easily you tan etc., so it really does have to be an individual's own decision. It looks as though the SPF8 suited you on your recent holiday, so you may be able to opt for the SPF15, but if it were me, I would go for the SPF25 (fair skin, blue eyes etc.) (Posted on 10/20/11)

I bought this and the SPF15 sport (I'll review that seperately as I found them very different) because despite always tanning really easily in the past, the last couple of times I used sun creams I developed what appeared to be prickly heat and sweeling on my face too. This stuff was fabulous, no swelling, no prickly heat, whatever I am allergic to is clearly not in this cream and I came home with a super tan on the places I used it on legs and arms all holiday and everywhere last 2 days. Will definately be back for more for next year! I did not get the slightest but red when I used it either! Just brown, very brown! (Posted on 9/18/11)

I first bought this on the basis of the ingredients and reviews. No nasties at all. Does everything excellently, doesn't leave a strong white sheen and suits my skin. Have used on some very hot days and it's done the job nicely. Am now back for more.

Ive just used this in South of SPain and South of France both with intense sunshine in May, and I have to say Im delighted, the smell is lovely, the consistency is lovely also really easy to apply and absorb into the skin, no residue, al in all I was really pleased with the protection it gave me you can feel the instant difference on your skin where you have applied, as you can feel that it is blocking the harmful rays, so no burning even on a low factor, but I still got a fantastic tan which is great.
As I am pregnant knowing that no harmful chemicals are absorbed int the skin made me love it more and IM so pleased that now I will continue to use this and not go back to regular lotions, even when im not pregnant next year.
A great thing about the size is that even at 120ml, I managed to take it through on hand luggage in the clear bag, even though the maximum allowance is 100ml nobody questioned it, woohoo!!
MY only request is that you would provide larger bottle sizes as I finished the 120ml in 1 week trip, and wouldn't be enough for a family! Thanks again

REPLY from Amanda: Thanks Caroline for your review. Re. the larger sizes: at present the manufacturer does not intend to make a larger size. A lot of this has to do with the way to naturally preserve the products. Larger sizes do not always make the product cheaper either, especially when you are buying high quality natural formulations, so why not just buy an extra couple and put into your luggage. This way you are not having to carry large bottles around, and you can keep the other bottles safely stowed in a cool place! The shelf life on these is good too, and so the products will usually last into the next year, providing they are stored in cool, dry conditions. (Posted on 6/8/11)

This is the fisrt itme I used this cream. The whole range is excellent. I have mediterranean skin, but always use sunscreen. Smells brilliant, and although it's only an spf8, seems to work like a 15 with regard to sun protection. No burning, no pealng and naturally moisturising. (Posted on 1/13/11)

I have used this SunShield sunscreen for the first time this year and am very pleased with it. It is not sticky like some products,e ven natural ones and rubs in easily without the whiteness you often get with mineral sunscreens. the price is good too and cheaper than some of the competitors.
