Amanda thanks for your reply. I ordered the travel size bottle of the shampoo and I have to say when I used it the second time there was much more foaming action. Its the best shampoo I've ever used. My hair feels shiny, healthy, manageable and light. It smells gorgeous and with its natural ingredients its the best food for your hair. I will definitely be ordering the large size bottle. I've searched for a long time for a good shampoo for my scaly scalp and thinning hair and I'm happy to say I've found it. My advice to people is natural stuff is best. Your motto is spot on, "what goes on goes in".

I recently got a sample of jasmine shampoo. I felt there was not enough shampoo in the sample tub to try properly. The shampoo smelt beautiful and it left my hair feeling soft and beautiful. Only downside was there was very little foaming action.

All our samples are roughly the same size, so it does depend a little on how much product is required in order to test the effectiveness efficienty. We do however, sell travel sizes of the shampoo. These are 50ml and are ideal to test or to pop in an overnight bag, and perhaps a solution to the above problem!

These lovely shampoos do not foam quite as much as a regular shampoo (after all, they do not contain the nasty chemical ingredients such as sodium laurel sulphate which makes regular shampoo produce masses of foam!). However, less foaming does not mean less clean! FYI, the Jasmine Shampoo is our best selling product of all time! (Posted on 11/26/11)

The Haircare Samples are, as Amanda said, a little small. Well, the conditioner and hair repair are fine for one usage because they are relatively rich. It is the shampoo which presents a problem. I ordered 2 samples and it still wasn't enough for sure about the efficacy of the shampoo.

I like the conditioner and will order some. It is conditioning, leaves my fine, fly away dyed hair looking soft and not over weighted down.

I am reflecting on the shampoo. I have had some organic shampoos in the past which simply didn't clean effectively enough and this is why I would have liked to test it out properly.

REPLY from Amanda: We now sell a trial sized Jasmine Shampoo which is not only idea for travelling (70ml) but its great if you feel the small samples are not adequate. It does take a while to get used to using an organic shampoo and conditioner etc., and you do only need a small amount of the shampoo. Ensure that your hair is thoroughly wet and then spread the shampoo over the palm of hand and apply right across the scalp. The shampoo is only really enough to ensure you are not allergic to ingredients, like the aroma etc. To really appreciate the benefits of the shampoo you do need to use for a few weeks, and this is when you will notice the improvement in your hair condition! I was pleased with prompt delivery.

I ordered 2 samples of the Jasmine shampoo because I had read the review here and it was still slightly too small an amount to see the shampoo in action. The containers are the right size for the conditioner and the Hair Repair, you just need to order 3 samples of the shampoo unless you have very short hair and a small head!

I really can't report accurately on the shampoo.

The conditioner seems nice from my first usage. It isn't over heavy but my hair is also not frizzy which is good.

I plan to buy a full size shampoo and conditioner and will review them then.

i ordered two samples a shampoo and conditioner, a paul penders jasmine shampoo and paul penders lemon conditioner.
recieved them today VERY SMALL!!?!
and for 1.45 per sample its rather overpriced.
i could not even get one wash with the shampoo sample id probably have to buy about 3 to get a good feel of the product so i didnt really know if the shampoo is good or not.
plus i read that with the shampoo it breaks out into a foam or something with the second wash and i couldnt even get one wash so...
really dissapointed with the shampoo sample!
but the conditioner had enough in to test the product and my hair has gone nicer and softer so iam guessing the shampoo is as good as the conditioner hopefully. overall i think ive wasted my money a little and might as well have just bought the products themselves.

REPLY from Amanda: Our samples are all the same size i.e. 5ml pots, so you may get better value from a skincare sample than a haircare one for example. We are hoping to get some larger 'trial' sized products from Paul Penders very soon, and feel sure that this will be more suitable for testing purposes. The little samples we currently send out are really just so that you can test for allergies, aroma and texture etc. and are priced at cost taking into account the time they take to make up.
