i bought this and although the foundation is quite nice - the package is absolutely tiny! this makes this one of the most expensive products i have ever bought. won't be buying again.

REPLY from Amanda: I just had to make a comment here! The tube does seem small on first sight, however, you need to bear the following in mind:

1. The foundation goes a VERY LONG WAY. You need the tiniest amount, which glides across the skin beautifully leaving a translucent slightly irridescent appearance. I wear foundation every day and this little tube has lasted me for over six months.

2. The quality of the ingredients need no explanation! Good quality ingredients are just more expensive.

3. Foundations in pump type bottles often appear more because of the packaging i.e. if you looked insidea pump type bottle the actual amount is smaller than it appears.

4. We do state the size on the product page!

I only wear vegan make-up and prefer to avoid parabens, etc. as well making my options pretty limited. So I'm really happy to have found this foundation. Letting you buy the samples is great, and I'm pleased that Island Sand works for my skin. The foundation is light (my natural pink cheeks don't vanish completely!) which is what I prefer - it just makes my skin more even, with a nice finish.

Other foundations have tended to dry my skin a little (I am prone to dry skin) but Paul Penders is perfect and I actually think my skin's texture is softer since I've been using it. It also has a lovely scent!

I hope you continue to sell it!

We have worked with Paul Penders for the last eight years, and I also love these foundations as well as their other products. Island Sand is our most popular colour, followed closely by Sweet Amber! (I use Sweet Amber). To cover any additional redness showing through, use the Paul Penders CoverUp Sticks - you would need the Light; just carefully apply with a small brush to the area and pat in after applying the foundation, not before. I have olive combination skin and tend not to wear any make up but for special occasions it is has been great to find a natural foundation that just helps level and give a healthy glow and allows your skin to breath. Moisturising without being greasy and you only have to use a little which makes the price worth the product. Very happy with this and will buy again and also will stay with the concealer by Paul Penders. (Posted on 7/1/11)

At my age I have tried many foundations, but none have given the luminosity and natural appearance I am looking for. I always feel that "less is more" and decided to give this a go as I love the idea that it is actually doing my skin some good too! I am totally besotted with this product! It glides on a dream, is undetectable and flawless on my skin and does not have the horrid synthetic smell of over-the-counter products. I am a true convert, and so glad I tried it. I have mediterranean colouring, but originally thought the colour (wood brown) may have been too dark. So I bought the hazel ivory to mix it with just in case. I needn't have worried, the wood brown was perfect because it just seems to blend in with my natural skin tones to a flawless finish and the colour match is perfect. Gives my skin a youthful glow too. The hazel ivory colour makes a fantastic highlighter if used in the same way as the highlighting pens that are on the market now to add luminosity and cover dark circles. Love it, love it, love it, will never buy anything else, and makes an excellent combination with the AM Moisturiser - double the goodness to my skin!

The very best foundation I have ever used. So light and yet so effective in evening out skin tone and obscuring minor blemishes.

The creamy texture makes it easy to apply and you only need the tiniest amount. It then seems to blend to the point of becoming your own, now flawless, skin. It is the only foundation I have ever used that has achieved this and I have tried many over the years in every price range.

Lovely smell too. I am smitten and doubt I shall ever use anything else... wonderful!
