I bought this for my son as he seems to have developed prickly heat on holidays. It worked a treat and no burning either. Great for children in and out of the sea....the reason i didn't give it 5 stars was it was like putting on thick paint and not keen on the lavender smell. ? Not suitable if you have asthma as the smell was quite powerful...change the scent and a well deserved 5 stars!!

I absolutely love Caribbean Blue Sun Shield Sport. I used to use a lower SPF one by the same company but I became wary of using sunscreen with nano- or microfine particles so I started buying this one instead as it does not use nano particles.

I have used Caribbean Blue sunscreens for several years on myself and my son for holidays in Greece in July when the temperature is often 35-40 degrees for 2 weeks at a time. We have never burned using this and we swim in the sea for hours at a time. I like the smell although I think the previous one I used to use had a lovely peppermint smell which I preferred to the lavender scent. I will be continuing to use Sun Shield Sport and I recommend it highly. (Posted on 4/14/12)

I work outside and depend heavily upon suncream to protect my skin. I feel this sun cream is very effective in shielding my skin from the sun. It also nourishes my skin. I suppose it makes my skin a tad white, but it is white anyway and I am glad to remain that way. A very worthwhile product for those who value the health of their skin. (Posted on 8/6/11)

It's good to know that someone is making a good suncream that works well without irritating chemicals. I have very fair skin and wanted a good natural sunscreen for going on holiday. It worked very well, I didn't burn at all and my skin feels nice and moisturised after application. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Not only this sun protection is all natural but I find it better the a regular chemical sunscreen because it is thicker than regular products. It sticks to the skin stronger and I have to apply it less often. It doesn't make the skin oily nor dry, so it's pretty neutral. I'm surprised at the quality and I'll never use anything else. This was a good sunscreen, but unfortunately didn't stop my daughter getting prickly heat, which was my main reason for trying it, bit disappointing

After working abroad for years and using any and every suncream on my skin with no problems other than a little bit of prickly heat on my feet I suddenly developed a bad reaction to suncream a few years ago, my skin swelled up, the prickly heat was unbearable and all up my legs and arms! Not one to believe in allergies I tried again each summer holiday with similar results!
After complaining to a friend she recommended Caribbean Blue which I brought in factors 15 & 8, I took them to a very hot holiday and was so happy to finally have found something that worked! No swelling skin, watering eyes or prickly heat!

I purchased this product for my honeymoon as I suffer with senstive skin and prickly heat. I applied it as directed but my legs still became severely burnt, covered in a very sore rash and extremely swollen. I lost 3 days of my honeymon as I couldn't move any further than the bathroom due to the pain I was in. I will not be purchasing this product again and would not recommend it.

Occasionally we find that a customer is allergic to an ingredient in one of our products and happily this occurs very rarely and somewhat less than if the product was full of chemical ingredients! I would always recommend that if you have sensitive skin that you are extremely cautious when going into the sun, regardless of what SPF the sunscreen has, as the temperature, skin type, reflection, medication etc. can all have an influence on how quickly you burn. It is also a good idea to do a 'patch test' too which will rule out any obvious problems.

The good news is that nearly all our customers have reported extremely beneficial results from the Caribbean Blue range and this review is the first we have received where the customer has reacted allergically to the creams. Indeed, our customer feedback (please read reviews) indicates that many find the Caribbean Blue sunscreens the only ones they have used which actually help prevent any prickly heat and allergic sun reactions. I was anxious about using full chemical free on holiday as it is generally impossible to get one over factor 15 without titanium dioxide. Thank you for such a perfect sunshield! 33 degrees, 7 days and no burning! Not too milky, smells great and above all my family were protected from cancer causing agents whilst enjoying the benefits of sunshine. (Posted on 7/22/10)

Always buy this product and always come back to it if i ever try anything else. But has the formula been changed as this one has a very strong lavendar smell that i don;t recall it having before? whenever I wear it everyone says they can smell lavender and there not even close to me!

REPLY from Amanda: I agree with you that the lavender in SOME of these sunscreens is slightly stronger than before. I think it does depend upon the batch being made at the time and the strength of the lavender which was harvested. These products are all made in very small batches on the island of St. Lucia, and therefore, the ingredients may vary slightly in strength etc. from batch to batch.
