About Caribbean Blue
NatMed, manufacturers of Caribbean Blue All Natural Suncare, was founded by two Doctors of Naturopathic Medicine, who wanted to ensure that only the best products would be used on their first born baby boy.
"At Natmed Limited, we pride ourselves in being able to offer truly All-Natural products. Unlike many other companies, who often have chemical-based products with some herbal ingredients, our products were created to be All-Natural and gentle enough to be used with our newly born baby-8 years ago! Three children later, and many new products created, has resulted in Caribbean Blue-natural basics line of all natural sunscreen and suncare products, spa and body care, and all natural insect repellent.
NatMed believes in using only the best, natural ingredients, which add value to your health, and never using anything which burdens it. Their product line is unique in that it is all-natural, formulated by Doctors, attractively packaged, competitively priced, and produced in the Caribbean.
The following is a brief resume written by Carlos Segova of Natmed:
"Customers will appreciate the fine quality and competitive pricing of our All-Natural products, especially as they are made in the Caribbean and formulated by Naturopathic Doctors! Naturopathic Doctors are primary health care practitioners trained to work in conjunction with all other health care practitioners. They must complete at least three years of pre-medical studies at university and four years of professional training at a recognized college of Naturopathic Medicine, of which there are five in North America.
Training includes basic medical sciences, diagnostics, naturopathic philosophy and therapeutics (including botanical (herbal) medicine, homeopathic medicine, clinical nutrition, acupuncture, spinal and soft tissue manipulation and stress management), and extensive clinical experience. Graduating students receive the title "N.D." or Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, and must pass rigorous licensing exams set by a government-appointed Board to be eligible to practise.
Dr. Gayle Devaux-Segovia grew up in St. Lucia, West Indies until she travelled abroad to study in university. She graduated with high honours, with a B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from the Florida Institute of Technology, and then enrolled in the 4 year Naturopathic Medical program in Canada. She again graduated top of her class in May 1995 and was the first St. Lucian Naturopathic Doctor. She returned to St. Lucia with her husband, also a Naturopathic Doctor, to set up St. Lucia's first Office of Naturopathic Medicine in 1996 and in 1997 Natmed Limited was established. The first product was the natural insect repellent. Soon after, the suncare line was developed and has now been extended to include some natural skincare and personal care products."
